Success!

After much planning and lack of sleep the birthday came off without a hitch. My girly is officially five years old. Am I liking this. No. Did she have a great birthday? Yes. She told me it was the best birthday ever so I was a happy mama! Here is what Ms. K took to school on Friday to share with her classmates. I didn't o cupcakes or cookies because 1. they ask for no food and 2. i wouldn't have brought that anyway because if every child brought some type of sweet for their birthday everyone's teeth would fall out! that is WAY too many sweets. So we brought pencils with tags tied on with sheer ribbon. I was happy with the way they turned out. The kids loved them and Ms. K said one of the little boys is still telling her thank you for the pencil 4 days later. So cute! Since i am such a dork, Ms. K took them to school in that vase so they looked like some sort of sweet treat.

So, on to the princess' actual birthday...

Ms. K's birthday party was defin. a success!!! We started out the day at the soccer field where Ms. K scored ANOTHER 7 goals!

There she is scoring one of her seven goals. We were so proud of her! Now we owe her $15 dollars for goals. (Way to go hunny, please don't tell her $1 a goal again).

I wanted to share what Mr. B does while Ms. K plays soccer...

EATS! That's all he does the whole time!

After soccer we headed to my parents to set up for the tea party. It turned out SO SO SO SO cute! I was really happy with the way it turned out and Ms. K had a great time with her friends. I thought I had taken a ton of pictures but looking back I didn't take as many as I thought (boo). Here is the set up before the party...

For the party, we set up a tent with a table and wood chairs that had sheer bows on the back. there was a chandelier hanging form the top of the tent made out of pink and white paper lanterns (so stinkin' cute!) Real linens covered by a vintage table cloth were the setting for the crystal luncheon plates. Each girl had a personalized box with treats at her seat and they drank pink lemonade with peanut butter and jelly tea sandwiches, ham and cheese tea sandwiches, scones (blueberry, caramel), lemon bread and a bowl of berries. They were so cute because they all came wearing dresses and thought they were quites fancy sipping out of their crystal cups.

My mom was very cute and insisted they have a candy table, so they did. Their eyes were so wide when they found out they could take whatever thy wanted in a bag to go home. It was cute because they were so polite about it and each put a few pieces in and they were done. So I went over and dumped more in their bags and they were beyond excited.

Ms. K had requested little cakes for everyone so that it what she got. They each had individual pink cakes with vanilla frosting and pink sprinkles.

Here is the birthday girl who is already worn out and still has one more party to go...
the second party was also very small and we just called up family to come over and have a casual meal. But what is a birthday party without a cake, so for the second time that day my children had cake! Anyone that knows me well knows I had a hard time with giving my children cake twice in one day since I am so weird about what they eat. But as you can tell I got over it. Here is the exhausted birthday girl blowing out her candles on her second cake (it was an Ariel one)...
So that's the summary of Ms. K's birthday celebration. I'll get to talking about the Memory Trends show tomorrow, I'm too tired tonight. Sweet dreams!

Lindsay the table looked beautiful. You must be exhausted from birthday parties, soccer games, scrapbooking trips, and working.

Thank you very much for sharing.
