August 17- Grandma started to go downhill fast. We knew this was it so we were over there every minute we could be.
August 24- grandma passed away after a long and hard fought battle with COPD. She was as strong and gracious in death as she was throughout her whole life. We will miss her greatly but she could not be in a better place. I feel very lucky that Ms. K and Mr. B were able to have such a great relationship with her. They both loved her more than anything. Words can not describe what a special lady she is... we love you Grandma!
August 24- I came off bed rest and brethine, Owen could come at any time as I am already 1 cm.
August 26- Brendan has meet the teacher for his first time at preschool...
He was so excited and had been looking forward to this for weeks. As we arrived at preschool (Gigi was with us) my mom got a phone call from my sister saying she was bleeding bad. We rushed Brendan in to meet his teacher and see his room then sped to Megan's house to take her to the emergency room. She ended up having to have surgery and stay the night in the hospital. So many emotional highs and lows at this point.
August 27- went to the doctor's and I am dilated to 2 cm. Had to go back on the medicine to make sure Owen did not come before the services for Grandma.
August 28- Mr. B's first day of preschool...
He was very excited until it was time for us to leave. Then the tears started. We have had tears everyday since. When we come to pick him up he has a big smile and tells us all the fun things he does so we know he likes it. I think there have just been too many big life changes for a 3 year old. We hope in the coming weeks life will slow down a bit and we can get back into our routine.
All right, I think I am caught up on the craziness we have called our life for the past few weeks. i think I am ready to return to the normal blogging routine.

Whew..after reading your blog, I realize life has been completely crazy for the Markell/Squires/Keen/Murphy families.
I couldn't have summed up my thoughts about Mom any better. We were incredibly lucky to have known her. I miss her fabulous insight on life and her laughter.
We need to keep her memory alive by sharing stories about her to the new kiddies in the family.
Send more pictures....come and visit soon.
Love, Charsie
