I know, I know it's been a while. As usual, the whirlwind that is my life has been picking up speed. I have actually been so tired from it, that I have been going to bed before 12 o'clock. For me that is early! Lots going on and lots to talk about. Last weekend went as well as could be expected. We were expecting it to be slow and it was but the ladies that I did have in my classes were very cute. None of them had scrapped before and they were very excited. It was fun to teach someone that does not do scrapping on a normal basis. I was way more excited that I sold kits though. If people like the kit but don't want to sit in the class I am selling them and I sold 5 KITS in 2 days. I was very excited about that! Okay enough about scrapping. Ms. Kennedy had her kindergarten assessment on Monday (the 7
th). Of course she is a smarty pants and they said she was definitely ready for kindergarten. I was a very proud mama! Tuesday we had a play date with a girl in Kennedy's class. We met them at Kennedy's favorite place for lunch (
Panera) and went back to her house to play on this huge side/climber/water guns/pool play thing. It was very cool! If I would have known the family better I would have gotten on it too! Of course I forgot my camera so no pictures of the cool play thing. Last weekend we started tearing out the backyard and replanting and moving things around. My kids are over the top excited, especially Brendan, because Scott built them a sand pit thing. It is all Brendan wants to play in right now. Of course now there is sand all over the house because just when you think you have gotten all of the sand off of him there are more secret sand holder on his clothes that seem to empty themselves all over the furniture. Oh well, he has fun an that's all that matters! The other excitement in my children's life this week is kinda weird. A few weeks ago I found a cocoon when I was trimming my rosemary bush. I put the branch by the back door because I thought it would be cool for the kids to see the moth or butterfly hatch. They were so excited about it and checked it everyday to see if anything had come out. Well, the normal time period elapsed and nothing. I was starting to wonder what was going to come out of this cocoon. Well, yesterday we found out. The kids were playing outside I was sitting next to the back door talking to my friend Melody on the phone. I looked down and saw all of these green things coming out of the cocoon. I called the kids over and we leaned down to check it out and here is what we saw...

Preying Mantis' coming out everywhere! How often do you see an adult preying mantis let alone 30 + babies coming out everywhere. It was so cool. not only that, are you wondering what that blue thing is they are hatching on? Scott's shoe! He left his sandals by the back door and it became a bug nursery. The kids were so enthralled by this! I have to admit I was too. they were so funny though because they laid on their stomachs with their faces about 6 inches from the babies and watched them. I am surprised they did not have one that jumped on their face!
Last night, I registered Kennedy for AYSO. My baby is growing up! It was insane though. Of course their is only a two hour window that you can go to turn your paperwork in so when I got there the line had about 300 people in it. Fabulous! So mark your calenders, in the fall
Kennedy will be playing AYSO soccer. She is very excited!
Today, my friend Melody called me because her daughter Grace had an accident. She is the same age as Kennedy and when they lived here, she and Kennedy were buddies. Grace was at a friends house and her finger was caught in the door and she had to be taken to the emergency room and have it reattached. So I just wanted to say...
Grace you are such a brave girl and we love you and hope you feel better soon!!!!
Along with that excitement today, I took the kids to get Brendan's 2 year old picture taken. I know I am a little late but it's better than never! So here are my beautiful babies...

Brendan was so cute because the girl was trying to get m to smile by making weird noises and trying to tickle him. he was looking at her and you could tell he was thinking "Lady you are crazy!" So Kennedy and I tried to make him smile. The trick that worked.... saying "Big Daddy Vladdy! (plays for the Angels)" and "Swing the bat!". He would get a big grin on his face and say them too. Except when Brendan says it, it sounds more like "Big Daee Vwaddy!" Okay I think that is enough for the night. I am going tocuddle with my husband! Oh yeah, got a haircut today, maybe a picture of it tomorrow because I heart it!
