Just to warn you this is gonna be a long one! Where to begin... we have had so much going on that I don't even know what to talk about first. I don't even know where the days have gone and it feels like I had just posted but this morning at breakfast Scott told me I was slacking on my blog. My husband actually reads this!!! Can you believe it? So if my husband noticed that i hadn't been writing as much then I better get on it!
So last week or so I talked about the six degrees charity badge that Ali Edwards was doing for her son who is Autistic. Well, the contest ended last night and she was the number one badge. Not only that, she had over 2000 people donate and raised $48,000. How amazing is that?! It makes my heart feel full that people are so generous and it amazes me that the power of the word was what fueled the charity drive. Like she said on her blog, all it takes is for one person to tell someone and that person tells one person, who tells one person and so on. Look what can be accomplished.
So I finally did it. I took the plunge. I have been tinkering back and forth for a while now about starting an invitation business. I even had my business license but didn't know if I had the time or talent to pull it off. Just because I think what I make is cute doesn't mean other people will or will want to buy it. So I had made some designs for a friend that had asked me to make some gift tags for her Mary Kay stuff. She really liked them and has been showing them to her friends who want to buy them as well. I sent the artwork to the printer and I am in business! Lindsay Marie Invitations is officially in business. I am hoping to have a blog up in the next few days. It will have my designs on it, not just the Mary kay gift tags, but my regular invitation designs as well. The address will be LindsayMarieInvitations.blogspot.com so check it out and spread the word if you like the designs!!!
Okay enough about me...well one last thing. Last night I took my Mom to see Josh Grobin at the Staples Center. I hadn't really listened to his music before so I didn't know if I was going to like it. Wow! I am so a Josh Grobin fan now. He was amazing! His show was fantastic! The woman that opened for him was from Africa and she was very talented as well. She did a little bit of talking between songs and the things she said made me want to go out and be a better person. She talked about living life and that once you are dead, that's it, you don't have another chance to do what you want or to make things right so make it happen now. She also talked about humanity and how people make mistakes no matter what color their skin is. We are all humans and we should support each other in this quest of life. No one should be with out food or a roof over their heads and we are the ones that can make it happen if we (people all over the world) can work together. Of course she spoke a lot more eloquently than I do but you get the jist of it right!
My mom and I also took the kids to the Long Beach Aquarium on Thursday. They had the best time! Kennedy was so excited she was running from exhibit to exhibit. We are definitely going to go back again soon. I tried to upload pictures to show the kids at the aquarium and everything else we did this week but for some reason it's not letting me. I'll try to post later today or tomorrow with the pictures. Oh yeah, Friday night we went to a free concert at Kennedy's preschool. It was fun! the man's name was Kevin Kidd and he sings kids worship songs. If you have kids you should definitely check him out. I'm pretty sure he has a website. The kids were laughing and dancing throughout the whole concert. Scott and I had fun too. It was just good to get out and do something as a family because lately that has been hard to do.
All right, I'm signing off... I've babbled enough for today. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Ok, so weird story. Josh and I went to Las Vegas last weekend. We brought our computer and I was reading your blog about Josh Grobin. A little bit later, Josh walks into our room and tells me he bought tickets to the Josh Grobin concert that night! Now I did know about his music before we attended the concert (I have two of his CDs). I just have to say that that was a great concert (Josh wasn't to keen on it but what do boys know). I also have to agree about the opening act. She was different, but she was good. Talk to you soon.
