Love this picture

of B's little feet hanging off the seat not touching the ground yet.

We went to Temecula to a barn sale. Debbie went with us and we had a nice days digging for finds. I just wanted the barn! I planned out my craft room upstairs and the kids would have a play room downstairs. Perfect now we just need the land to put it on. In CA that's gonna be pricey! I did find an old locker room basket that I loved. I'm going to put my mini-albums in it cause I am the queen of making mini-albums and I need another place to put them. So here is my find for the day...
After treasure hunting we went to lunch and a hamburger stand and had some great (really bad for you) for. Here we are enjoying the misters at lunch on a hot afternoon...
We made the traffic filled trip home (2 accidents) and met friends to swim. Kennedy had met her best friend the VERY first day of preschool when she was three. Since then we have become good friends with her parents and are lucky enough to find a family that has the same child-rearing beliefs that we do and their children are the same age as ours. So that is who we went swimming with and to dinner after. We had a great time as we always do with them. The only person missing was my hubby who went to the Dodger game with his boss last night.
Just having a relaxing day today and tomorrow we are going to celebrate our anniversary early since this next week is going to be crazy busy!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous summer fun weekend!

I knew I would find it!

I knew it was in the house. Somewhere in one of the corners of chaos. It was found in the bag I took to my Mom's when we went swimming. Yea, back in business!

So Kennedy's last day of preschool occurred and we all made it through. I got a little teary-eyed when her ice cream party was over and it was time to leave. My baby will never be in preschool ever again. That phase of her life is over. I know I keep talking about it but as you can see I am not over it yet. Here is my girly at her ice cream party ( I had to bring her soy ice cream so she could participate)...

Brendan felt quite at home in the classroom himself. He liked playing in the kitchen at kept trying to eat the fake food. Of course my son would try and do that because that's all he wants to do, eat! When it was time to go he ran away because he wanted to stay...

She cried the whole way home on the last day. When I asked her why she said she was going to miss her teacher. My sweet girl.

Scott left for the weekend for a bachelor party so I told Kennedy we would go out to dinner to celebrate her new kindergarten status. My Mom and Grandma met us since my Dad was out of town too. Brendan thought he was funny and when he was eating his roll decided to put butter in his nose and face...

(Sorry for the blurryness) He thought he was SO funny! We also spent lots of time in the pool this last weekend and wore the kids out.

Oh I also wanted to share the shoes I got for Brendan today. They are so full of cuteness and when he wears them he looks like the all-American boy...

How cute are they with their baseball stitching! I am in shoe love!

I have been doing some scrapping lately, mostly some cute kits I have had that I wanted to catch up on. I am on a Rusty Pickle (for you non-scrappers it's a company that make fabulous papers and albums) kick right now so maybe I will post some pickle pictures tomorrow.

Well, maybe not tomorrow cause I am going to school to start planning with my partner for the new school year (crazy!).

Oh yeah, I am also going to be at Glen Ivy again with my scrapbook stuff. They are having a fall festival in October and they asked me to come back and have a booth. I think I am going to be doing some make-and-takes so it's off to the planning board. It sounds like it is going to be fun!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Sorry...I know it's been a few days. I can't find where I put my camera (gasp! It's always attached to my hip) and I don't want to post without the pictures of what we have been doing. So, the hunt continues and I promise I will post soon.

Does anyone else...

love the 4th of July as much as I do. I don't know why but I love the activities, the fireworks, parades, BBQ's and decoration. Here is some of what my house looks like for the holidays...

Anyone watch So You Think You Can Dance last night? Awesome dancing. I wish I could dance like they are able to. Pasha was awesome last night! Tomorrow is my girly's last day of preschool forever. Sad. Not much else going on today. I am teaching a scrapbook class tonight. Just a small one. My Mom's book club asked me to come teach my mini album class from Mother's Day. Should be fun!

Carnivals, Father's Day,Thrifting and a Job

ahh...catch up time. As per usual the running around in circles till you fall to the ground in exhaustion has been filling our days. The past few days I have been so tired it's all I can do to put the kids in bed, kiss my husband and fall into bed (sometimes with my clothes still on) and fall asleep. Let me fill you in on why this happens.

Friday we had a carnival at Kennedy's preschool for the end of the year. It was put on by the teacher's and was so much fun. They surprised the kids and had two inflatable water slides which they thought were the coolest thing EVER! Face painting, carnival games, snow cones and a BBQ followed. It was all free for the students and they parents/siblings. So fun! even little man (Brendan) won some prizes. He thought the plastic back scratcher he won was a golf club but, hey whatever he wants it to be! Here are the kids covered in their sticky, wet fun...

Father's Day was a long fun day. I cooked breakfast for my guy Saturday morning because Sunday morning the favorite men in my life went golfing bright and early. Kennedy made Scott a hat at school. It was so cute, she had decorated it with fabric markers and was so proud when she gave it to him. Scott made me fall in love with him even more when he wore it golfing Sunday morning. Kennedy was so excited when he wore it. Here's some pictures of the boys...

My handsome husband wearing his hat made by his girl.

My very fun brother-in-law Mike

While the boys were playing golf my mother-in-law and I went to do our favorite activity...thrifting! We packed the kids up in the car with the red wagon and snacks and headed to Long Beach for the monthly antique market. We had four hours of glorious bargaining for fabulous items that we did not know we had to have till we saw them! I bought a wire basket...

and vintage Victorian postcards (3 Easter and 1 St. Patrick's Day), a vintage apron with red butterflies on it (pictures later) and a vintage floral table cloth (pictures later). I also went shopping in my parent's garage and came home with this..

I am in love with it! It is perfect for holding my quarter panels. I already lovingly arranged them by color (because I am anal) and am deciding the perfect spot to display it.

On another note (I am very talkative tonight!) I got a job today! Nothing full time because I am a selfish Mommy and don't want someone else taking care of my children. Get this... I am going to be teaching PE! Yes you read correctly, don't read it again and stop laughing. I will be teaching PE 4 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a day. It works out perfect time wise and my sweet mother-in-law said she would watch the kids for that short time ( I am okay with the grandma's watching the kids). So that's that. I think I have spilled everything that's been going on. even if I haven't I'm sore you are all thinking this is the longest post ever does she talk like this at home. And yes I do!

New listings

I posted two new things on etsy today. Take a look. buy if you like! Tell a friend if you really like! I am going to try and post more tomorrow.

Fun Summer Memories

So this weekend was busy as always. Kennedy had her last soccer game. I was actually able to go because I was not teaching any classes! Here is Kennedy with her trophy, she was so proud!

Afterwards they had a pizza party (always fun for my lactose intolerant children!) and we finished off the day by going to a friends BBQ. The BBQ was lots of fun. We had an outdoor movie night. I highly recommend this for anyone with children. Actually for anyone cause the adults all had fun too. We made caramel popcorn, laid out blankets on the grass and projected Peter Pan on a sheet. The kids did not move the while time. Not only that but Josh, our friends son, who is three, spooned Kennedy during the movie. Is this okay? We were laughing about it and decided as long as they do it now and not when they get older! Here they are watching the movie...
Today was Muffin with Mom day at preschool. It was one of those bittersweet moments in life. The school put together a slide show of the kids from all the activities during the school year. We got to watch it with our children and then the director of the school told us thank you for sharing our children and good luck in kindergarten. I am not okay with this! My baby is going to kindergarten. I am so proud of her though. During the slide show the kids were talking and playing with each other. Not my daughter. She was sitting politely with her legs crossed watching the show. After the show we went to her classroom and had muffins and juice and her teacher gave out pictures of the kids and said thank you to everyone. It was funny because she started to cry when she was talking which made the moms cry and the kids are sitting on the floor talking and laughing together. Anyway we are at school together...
It makes me so proud when I go to activities like this with Kennedy. I am amazed at the girl she is becoming. She is so polite and kind to everyone. I know I keep going on and on but today was on e of those proud Momma days.
Enough of my babbling.
On a funny note, Brendan and I were driving in the car today and "
Don't rock the juke box" came on. Brendan loves to sing along in the car and he kept asking me "Momma, where's the juice box?" I tried to explain they weren't singing about a juice box but to no avail. So next time you here the song remember it's "Don't rock the juice box"!
Hope everyone is having a great day!

My Mini Me

Scott's lifting weights in the garage
Kennedy comes out
(big sigh) (big eye roll) "Really. Do you have to do that right now?" (another sigh with eye roll)
scary!

Fun day with my boy

Kennedy had school today so Brendan and I went out and about. I have had the itch to thrift so we went to downtown Riverside where the Mission Inn is. So beautiful down there. I ended up going in two antique stores and coming out with nothing because of course I picked the ones that had $2500 light fixtures. Brendan and I had more fun wandering around and taking pictures of the old buildings. Here's our day...

Brendan loved the fountain, it was his favorite part of the day and we had to go see it twice.

I loved the painting on the building and couldn't help but take a picture of it.

Okay on a frivolous side note, does anyone watch "So you think you can dance' ? I don't know why but I find myself coming back to it. I think it's addictive like American Idol and Dancing With the Stars. No really, does anyone else watch it or am I the only one?
Happy friday!

Birthdays, birthdays,birthdays

that is all we have done this week so far. Sunday was my mother-in-laws birthday. We went out to dinner on Monday night to celebrate. Yesterday was my grandma's birthday and we went to dinner again. Here is a picture of Grandma after she blew out her candle...

Brendan entertained all as usual.

I have to share a picture of my hydrangeas becasue they are in bloom and I heart them so much! They are so beautiful to look at when I look out the back door...

Not much else to say today, I 'll write more later.

Rudeness

Okay, so we live in a town home. We own it but our neighbors next door are renting. We share a wall with them and they are THE MOST INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE I have ever met! They turn their music up so loud our walls and furniture vibrate. Scott has asked them to turn it down before but for some reason it keeps happening. Last night I came home and the music was going so I went over and politely asked them to turn it down. Of course the woman was extremely rude but they turned it down enough that our furniture wasn't shaking anymore. We are so tired of they lack of manners but I was exhausted and managed to fall asleep anyway. My husband was not so lucky last night. Finally at 3 in the morning he went over and asked them to turn it down. Things didn't go so well and the guy tried to follow Scott. He ended up telling Scott to call the police if it really bothered us and told Scott we must be listening at the wall. So from now on I guess we will just be calling the police. It seems so petty to call for something like that but I feel I should not have to live in my house that I own and have my walls and furniture shaking all hours of the night. If they want to act like that they should move to an apartment or into some slum area where no one cares how they act. Can you tell I am a little upset! I didn't realize how much this upsets me until I started typing. They are so trashy! Not only that but they have kids! They must be fabulous parents! Oh yeah and when Scott went over at 3 the guy reeked of alcohol. Even better! My stomach is in knots and when we came home from my parents tonight I had a stomach ache because I was so worried they would have the music on and we would have to take care of it by calling the police. Okay I need to change the subject cause I am getting all worked up right now.
Other than the obnoxiousness that lives next door we did have a good weekend. Saturday night after i was done teaching my Mom and I went to the Taste of Corona. We had a really good time and saw so many people we knew. We were laughing because we couldn't walk 5 feet without knowing someone. The food was fabulous and I don't get many nights out without the kids so it was relaxing not having to worry about cutting up their food before I ate (mine always get cold before i get to eat it) and where they were at every moment. Today Scott took the kids the the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes game (Angels Minor League team). They all had a great time, especially Brendan the baseball obsessed child. It was his first real game and when I called Scott I could hear Brendan yelling in the background "hit the ball!". I hope everyone had a great weekend! We have a busy week of birthday parties coming up so I will talk more later. Oh yeah, I start back to school tomorrow so my free time will become non-existent again!

Shake your booby

Yes... you read it correctly. That's what my son was yelling in the cart at Target tonight. As he was yelling, a lady walked by and said "how cute!" Not so cute, did she understand what he was saying? I guess it's still better than "Mommy I found my butt crack!"
